I can't log in to
the members area!
This is the most common problem we are
faced with. It can be due to several different possibilities.
Lost or Incorrect Username and Password,
System detected too many incorrect logins,
Attempting to log into members area with AdultCheck ID.
* If you signed up with us
through Epoch and can't log in click
here. Do not read further.
* If you get a screen that looks
like this it means your username and
password is not valid. Either you entered it incorrectly or your username
and password expired. If you get this screen when trying to log in with
your AdultCheck ID you are logging in to the wrong area. Go back to
the login area and make sure to click the right link for your login.
* If you get the authentication
required screen before you put your username and password in your computer
may have had a username and password stored from a membership site you
had been to earlier in the day. If this is the case restart you browser
or even restart your computer to make sure any previous information
is flushed.
* If you get a screen that looks
something like this
it means the security system detected too many simultaneous logins or
too many failed attempts from the same computer in a short period of
time. This block is temporary and is reset in 15 minutes. Wait 20 minutes
to be sure and then try again. If you get this often, then your account
username and password may have been used by others (site crackers, your
friend that you should not have given your password to, etc.). You can
contact Billing Support
to reset your password. Keep your passwords safe!
I can't log in to
the AdultCheck area!
Make sure you are trying to log in to
the right location. You should log
in here. If you get a message that says, "You have entered
an Invalid Adult Check ID® !" You will need to contact AdultCheck.
Sorry, we can't trouble shoot AdultCheck problems.
Help!!!
I can't play the sample videos!
I
can't play the video I downloaded! Video
on the Internet is compressed because they would be too large to download
at full size. There are little pieces of software called a codec
that compress and decompress video that are run on your machine when
you play .avi's, .mpg's, .mov's, etc. If you can't play a particular
video it may be because you don't have the right codec. Not to worry!
Most codecs are free! Most video players that need a codec that they
don't currently have will automatically attempt to download the right
one for you. If that doesn't happen, you need to find it on your own.
That may take some work. Go to Terran
Interactive to learn more and to download the codec you need.
I
can't download the videos at all! Media
Player
people who
can't play the videos. Some versions of Media Player does not send what
referrer it is coming from to the server. So if Media Player automatically
opens when you click on the link and tries to download the video it
may have a problem. Our website needs to know where you had just come
from in order to determine that you are coming from a page on our site.
Media Player doesn't tell us where you had just come from and therefore
won't download the video. To save the video to your hard drive: RIGHT-CLICK
on the link and choose SAVE-TARGET-AS or SAVE-LINK-AS.
Sound
but no video Uncompressed
videos are way too large for download on the Internet. So videos are
made using compression algorithms. There are many different forms of
compression and the industry is always coming up with new ones. Because
of that, not all video players have the right codec (encode/decode)
to play all videos. That is why you can't play some videos on your player.
Ironically we recommend Media Player by Microsoft. You can download
it at http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/mediaplayer/en/default.asp.
If you use Media Player and Internet Explorer you will want to read
the above help article.
I still need
